You can choose the location! Is there a place that is special to your family? A park that you love? Maybe even your own backyard. I can also suggest several Quad City locations.
What should we wear?
Choose two or three coordinating colors and then choose outfits that everyone is comfortable in. For example, earth tones, all blues and greens, all pastels, etc. Don’t try to match everything perfectly. Solid colors look nice, especially with small patterns mixed in. DON’T wear clothes with large logos or brand names on them. They tend to distract from the photo. Choose clothes that are more fitted. Baggy clothes will make you look bigger. (And who wants that?!?) Seniors should choose 2-3 favorite outfits that represent who you are, but don’t be afraid to dress it up or add accessories. You want your portraits to have visual impact.
Seniors, plan your outfits to include accessories and shoes. Keep your clothes simple! No logo t-shirts (unless they have a special meaning for you, then go for it!) and please NO NEON COLORS! They tend to reflect onto your face. Not a good look. Be sure to bring your clothes on hangars. Wrinkles do show up in photos. Girls, apply your makeup just a touch heavier. But don’t apply foundation with SPF on your face. (It gives your images a sheen.) Bring your makeup to the session for touch ups, along with a comb or brush. Guys, a fresh shave is recommended. Don’t forget that your shoes will be in some of the shots, so make sure they coordinate with your outfit. Finally, take a look at your hands. Trim those nails and/or apply a fresh coat of polish. Don’t worry about blemishes. (I can take care of those!) If your session includes a cap & gown mini-session, you can contact me as soon as your gown arrives to schedule your session.
How will we get our pictures?
Photos will be edited and ready for you within 2-3 weeks. They will be delivered to an online gallery. You will get an email when they are ready to be downloaded. If you would like to order prints from a professional lab , we can meet for a viewing session to select your photos. If your package includes a print credit, we will meet so that you can choose your prints.
When is payment due?
A deposit of $50 is due at the time of booking to hold the date and time of your session. The balance is due on the day of the session. Payment for prints is due at the time of ordering.
